Pope Tech UX Design

Pope Tech is a website accessibility software company located in Cache Valley, Utah. As part of our class, my team was given the challenge to redesign Pope Tech’s user process to keep customers motivated and engaged.

The Challenge: Pope Tech software is used by businesses to find accessibility issues on their sites. However, many businesses struggled to take actions on their reports either from a lack of motivation or a lack of knowledge.

The Process: My team and I scaled down the problem to envision individual customers using Pope Tech’s Software instead of bigger businesses. We also focused on only a few accessibility errors to build out our design. We first created user personas and scenarios then translated them into a user flowchart. Our group also collaborated on a wireframe then individually conducted user testing to inform our prototype.

Software Used: Adobe XD, Lucidchart, Mural

I created this user persona of a small business owner to empathize with Pope Tech's users. This persona captured the feeling of overwhelm some users might feel trying to incorporate accessibility software into their busy schedule

This is a user flowchart created by myself and my design team in Lucidchart. We wanted to center the user in this flowchart and allow them to switch from the Pope Tech site to their own as needed.

This is part of the wireframe that I created in Adobe XD. Our wireframe included an updated error report page and several follow up emails to keep users engaged with Pope Tech.

This is a piece of our prototype that I created in Adobe XD using Pope Tech's color and design scheme. Our team conducted user testing on our wireframe and found that users were feeling overwhelmed with the number of errors found on their page. We changed it to show only the percentage of errors for the prototype.
